This will be a safe method to stop your vehicle you pulled in the most remote or inappropriate place you can imagine. Rather than tempt fate, why not learn how to make basic car maintenance to keep it running properly?
If your car is already some years and you've failed to do revisions pertaining to the purchase of your car, this does not mean that you should forget indefinitely. Follow a routine of maintenance will cause your car to last many years longer.

Do you check the oil every week, or at least every two. The motors operate at temperatures extremely high and some models will spend alarming way motor oil. Circular with a car without a drop of oil, is not the most advisable if you want to keep the vehicle. This will damage the motor to quit out of the game. If this happens, you will have to buy another engine or think of another car. Both alternatives are expensive, so this first maintenance, apart from being simple is essential.
Change the oil every 5000 kilometers approximately. After driving a while, the oil gets dirty and muddled. Keeping the oil at an acceptable level of purity, it reduces impurities on the motor. Take advantage of every oil change to also change the fan belt. In this way, it will be easy to remember that you must do both.

Antifreeze should be changed every year. Preferably bring the car to an expert site so they empty the cooling system and replace with the new refrigerant tanks. This helps keep the radiator leak-free.
The transmission fluid should be checked regularly. The fluid should be changed every 60,000 kilometers more or less.

One thing that should be done occasionally and almost instinctively is to see if the car has a leak. If you have a garage, notes there on the floor some liquid recent, and if you have it in the callus, observed as far as possible if there are stains. If you see something, takes note of the color of the fluid and takes the car to a workshop as soon as possible. The transmission fluid tends to be pink, green antifreeze, oil light brown, and the brake fluid is reddish brown. This can vary a bit, although it is usually this way. Knowing the fluid that is pouring out, you can help the workshop to determine which the problem is.
To keep your air conditioning system working well, start it up once a month, even in winter. The same applies to heating. It should be made occasionally in summer for a proper maintenance.
Every so often, and especially if you have a travel perspective, check the brakes giving a somewhat sudden stop to see how they react. This simple element saves lives by what must always be to 100 percent. The same happens with the tires. The tires should be replaced every 12,000 km approximately. Get a visual inspection every two months and are looking for imperfections or anything out of the ordinary.

Pay attention to your battery. If you see that they are forming layers of white material at the terminals dirt free them with a brush and water with baking soda. In the flat aesthetic, not a bad idea to give it a coat of wax two or three times a year to keep it free of rust.
With these simple guidelines, your car will withstand any longer without giving you a disgust or fright.
